Automation Tester - Playwright/ TypeScript

We are seeking an experienced Automation Tester to design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions for web applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Playwright, TypeScript and/or Python, and experience leveraging AI-assisted testing tools to improve test coverage, efficiency, and software quality.
The role requires close collaboration with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright.
- Create robust test frameworks and reusable automation components using TypeScript and/or Python.
- Develop automated functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end test cases.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
- Utilize AI-assisted testing tools and technologies to accelerate test creation, maintenance, defect detection, and test optimization.
- Analyze business and technical requirements to create comprehensive test strategies and test plans.
- Execute manual and automated testing activities and document test results.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and report defects while collaborating with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Perform root cause analysis of test failures and improve framework stability.
- Monitor test execution results and provide quality metrics and reports to stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Continuously improve testing processes, standards, and automation best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for web application testing.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python.
- Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
- Experience with API testing tools and frameworks.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
- Experience with source control systems such as Git.
- Experience working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with AI-powered testing platforms and tools.
- Experience using AI assistants such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar technologies to improve testing productivity.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of performance, security, and accessibility testing.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- ISTQB or other testing certifications are an advantage.
