SAP Transportation Management Consultant

Role Overview

The organization is seeking an experienced SAP Transportation Management (TM) Consultant to support end-to-end delivery of SAP TM solutions across implementation, enhancement, and upgrade projects. The role involves working closely with stakeholders to design, configure, test, and deploy SAP TM functionalities within enterprise environments, including SAP S/4HANA landscapes.

The consultant will play a key role in translating business requirements into scalable system solutions while ensuring high-quality delivery aligned with project objectives, timelines, and budgets.

• Lead and support the delivery of SAP TM solutions across implementation, support, and upgrade engagements.
• Conduct client workshops to gather requirements, perform fit-gap analysis, and define solution approaches.
• Design end-to-end SAP TM solutions, including functional specifications, system configuration, testing, and cutover planning.
• Configure SAP TM components in both standalone and SAP S/4HANA embedded environments.
• Integrate SAP TM with other SAP modules (such as EWM, SD, MM) as well as external third-party systems.
• Analyze client business challenges and provide effective process and system solutions.
• Support testing activities, issue resolution, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Manage complex transportation scenarios involving shippers, logistics service providers, and carriers.
• Provide functional expertise and guidance to project teams and mentor junior consultants.
• Collaborate with sales and pre-sales teams to define scope, prepare proposals, and support effort estimation for SAP TM opportunities.
• Present SAP TM capabilities to prospective clients when required.
• Contribute to project planning, prioritization of deliverables, and execution of system solutions aligned with business needs.
• Ensure adherence to implementation methodology covering design, configuration, testing, rollout, and support phases.

• SAP Transportation Management (TM) Certification (required)

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.Tech), Computer Applications (BCA), Computer Applications (MCA), or Business Administration (MBA)

• 2–4 years of hands-on SAP TM experience
• 4–6 years of overall SAP experience
