About the role
We are seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Maintenance Engineer to join Firstar Airconditioning INC in a full-time capacity. Based in Bacoor City, Cavite, this role is pivotal to ensuring our clients' air conditioning systems operate at peak efficiency and reliability.As an Air Conditioning Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the systematic inspection, servicing, and repair of HVAC systems, playing a crucial part in maintaining customer satisfaction and extending the lifespan of our equipment.
This position offers the opportunity to work hands-on with advanced air conditioning technology whilst contributing to the technical excellence that defines our company.
What you'll be doing- Performing routine preventative maintenance on air conditioning units and HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults in air conditioning systems using appropriate testing equipment
- Carrying out repairs and component replacements, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and refrigeration lines
- Conducting system inspections and safety checks in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Servicing refrigeration systems and ensuring proper refrigerant levels and charge procedures
- Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance work, repairs completed, and parts utilised for each client visit
- Responding to emergency maintenance calls and providing technical support to resolve system failures promptly
- Advising clients on proper system operation, maintenance schedules, and energy efficiency improvements
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to ensure service delivery targets are consistently met
- Adhering to health and safety protocols and maintaining a professional standard of workmanship at all times
- Formal qualification or certification in HVAC/Air Conditioning maintenance or equivalent recognised technical qualification
- Proven experience of at least 3–5 years working as an air conditioning maintenance technician or similar role
- Comprehensive knowledge of air conditioning systems, refrigeration cycles, and mechanical principles
- Proficiency in using diagnostic and testing equipment such as multimeters, pressure gauges, and refrigerant recovery units
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to work independently and make sound technical decisions
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying environmental conditions
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach to service delivery
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation, as the role involves travelling to client sites
- Familiarity with workplace safety regulations and environmental protocols relating to refrigerant handling
- Preferred experience with commercial and industrial air conditioning systems
