Architect

Architect - is responsible for planning, designing, and supervising the construction of buildings while ensuring safety, functionality, and aesthetic quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Design and Planning

• Develop building concepts based on client requirements.
• Prepare architectural designs, sketches, and layouts.
• Ensure designs are functional, safe, and visually appealing.

1. Client Consultation

• Meet with clients to discuss project goals, budget, and timeline.
• Present design proposals and revise plans based on feedback.
• Provide professional advice on materials, design, and feasibility.

1. Preparation of Documents

• Prepare blueprints, working drawings, and specifications.
• Develop cost estimates and material specifications.
• Process permits and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.

1. Coordination and Collaboration

• Work closely with engineers, contractors, interior designers, and project managers.
• Coordinate structural, electrical, and plumbing plans.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical guidance.

1. Site Supervision

• Conduct site inspections during construction.
• Ensure the project follows approved plans and quality standards.
• Address design issues or changes during construction.

1. Compliance and Safety

• Ensure compliance with zoning laws and safety regulations.
• Incorporate sustainable and environmentally friendly design practices.
• Maintain professional and ethical standards.

1. Project Management Support

• Help monitor project progress and timelines.
• Assist in resolving construction problems.
• Ensure projects are completed within budget and schedule.

Job Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
• Completion of required apprenticeship or on-the-job training
• Licensed Architect (passed the licensure exam conducted by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC))

• Valid PRC Architect License

• 3–5+ years for senior or project architect positions
• Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial projects (depending on employer)

• Proficiency in architectural software:
• AutoCAD
• SketchUp
• Knowledge of building codes and local regulations
• Understanding of construction methods and materials
• Ability to prepare cost estimates and technical specifications

• Strong design and creative skills
• Analytical and problem-solving ability
