Position Summary

The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain and logistics operations of the company, ensuring the efficient movement of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods. This role plays a critical part in supporting toll manufacturing operations by managing warehousing, transportation, inventory control, third-party logistics providers, and customer deliveries while ensuring cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics & Distribution Management
  • Plan, manage, and monitor inbound and outbound logistics activities to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished products.
  • Coordinate transportation schedules and delivery requirements with suppliers, toll manufacturing partners, customers, and logistics providers.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders and delivery commitments.
Warehouse & Inventory Management
  • Oversee inventory planning, stock movement, storage, and reconciliation activities.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production requirements while minimizing excess stock and obsolescence.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and stock audits.
  • Implement warehouse best practices to maximize storage utilization and operational efficiency.
Toll Manufacturing Coordination
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Procurement, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain teams to support manufacturing schedules.
  • Monitor material issuance, production output transfers, and finished goods inventory.
  • Ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging materials required for production runs.
  • Coordinate dispatch and receiving activities with toll manufacturing facilities.
Vendor & 3PL Management
  • Manage relationships and performance of freight forwarders, trucking companies, warehouse operators, and third-party logistics providers.
  • Negotiate transportation and logistics contracts to achieve cost savings and service improvements.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and establish service level agreements (SLAs).
Compliance & Process Improvement
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies, and industry standards related to logistics, transportation, and warehousing.
  • Develop and maintain logistics KPIs, reports, and dashboards.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement initiatives that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects focused on supply chain optimization and cost reduction.
Team Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and develop logistics and warehouse personnel.
  • Establish performance objectives and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, safety, collaboration, and operational excellence.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive logistics and supply chain management experience, preferably within FMCG, food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, or toll manufacturing environments.
  • Proven experience managing warehousing, transportation, inventory control, and third-party logistics providers.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, inventory management systems, and logistics operations.
  • Experience with ERP systems and inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in toll manufacturing, contract manufacturing, or co-packing operations.
  • Knowledge of GMP, ISO standards, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Certification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations Management is an advantage.
