Junior Lead, Credit and Risk Analytics

Job Purpose
- Leads the development and delivery of credit risk, underwriting, and collections analytics to support portfolio growth and loss management.
- Drives segmentation, performance analysis, and monitoring of approval, delinquency, and recovery metrics to optimize risk strategies.
- Oversees the preparation of management reports, dashboards, and insights to guide business decision-making.
- Collaborates with underwriting, collections, operations, and IT teams to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
- Leads analytics support for system enhancements, policy changes, UAT, and data validation to ensure accuracy and governance compliance (i.e. LOS, IC4, etc.).
- Ensures continuity and reliability of analytics operations through proper documentation, task handover, validation controls, and back-up support as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Business, Data Science, or related courses
- Preferably minimum of one (1) year work experience in data science and analytics roles in industries such as banking/finance, market research, telecommunications, insurance, and other related disciplines
- Experience in statistical analysis and programming, data visualization tools, and office suite application
- Possesses strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and problem solving
- Ability to lead change and with passion for creating solutions
- Experience with statistical / data tools (SAS, SQL, Python, R, or similar) preferred
