The Role
We are looking for a dedicated Estimator with experience in residential construction, preferably supporting Australian builders. The successful candidate will play a vital role in producing accurate and timely construction estimates based on project drawings, specifications, and builder standards.This is a hybrid remote role, offering flexibility while maintaining a strong collaboration with both local and Australian teams.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze architectural and engineering drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates, primarily focused on plumbing.
- Utilize Simpro or similar estimating software to generate take-offs and breakdowns.
- Ensure all estimates comply with Australian building codes and construction practices.
- Coordinate with drafters, schedulers, and project managers for aligned outputs.
- Review and update cost databases as needed.
- Participate in virtual meetings and training with Australian counterparts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering /Master Plumber, Architecture, or Construction Management preferred.
- At least 2 years of estimating experience (exposure to Australian residential projects is a strong advantage).
- Proficiency in Simpro, Buildxact, or other relevant estimating software
- Knowledge of Uncut Estimating Guides, Australian plumbing codes, or DWV piping is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in hybrid (remote and on-site) environment.
