Job Description:

Summary:

Testing Automation Engineer to support our project by leading UI and API automation initiatives.

• Enhance the automation framework using Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Develop and stabilize robust UI & E2E automation suites.
• Implement API automation including authentication, schema validation, and backend data verification.
• Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines and optimize regression execution.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Playwright, API testing, CI/CD integration, and test stabilization is required.
• As a Test Automation Engineer, a typical day involves utilizing quality processes and automation methodologies to enhance testing products and solutions.
• The role focuses on managing the end-to-end quality engineering function with an emphasis on automation, aiming to improve control, accuracy, and integrity throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Collaboration with team members and continuous improvement of testing frameworks are integral parts of daily activities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
• Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
• Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automated testing within the development lifecycle.
• Continuously evaluate and improve existing automation frameworks to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Document testing processes and results clearly to support transparency and knowledge sharing.
• Assist in identifying potential risks and provide recommendations to mitigate them through automation.
• Support the team in adopting best practices and emerging trends in test automation.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Required Skill: Expert proficiency in Playwright.
• Additional Must Have Skills: Proficiency in Automated Testing, Selenium, Functional Test Planning.
• Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and scripting languages.
• Experience in designing and implementing automated test cases for web applications.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines to support automated testing.
• Ability to analyze test results and troubleshoot issues to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Additional Information:

• The candidate should have minimum 1 year of experience in Playwright.
• This position is based at our Manila office.
