Scrum Master (Data & Migration Projects)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our Agile delivery team and help drive the successful execution of data-focused initiatives, including data migration and transformation projects. In this role, you will serve as a servant leader, coach, and facilitator, ensuring Agile principles and Scrum practices are effectively adopted while enabling teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

You will work closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, delivery teams, and cross-functional partners to foster collaboration, remove impediments, improve team performance, and support the successful delivery of business-critical projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Coach teams on Agile values, principles, and Scrum best practices.
• Assess and improve Scrum maturity across delivery teams.
• Promote continuous improvement, transparency, and accountability within the team.
• Ensure Agile processes are followed and sprint commitments are delivered successfully.

• Foster a safe and collaborative environment where team members can openly raise concerns and share ideas.
• Remove impediments and help teams overcome delivery challenges.
• Facilitate conflict resolution and encourage effective team collaboration.
• Protect the team from scope creep, external distractions, and unplanned work during sprint execution.
• Monitor team capacity, utilization, and velocity to support effective sprint planning.

• Partner with Product Owners to maintain a healthy and prioritized product backlog.
• Support backlog refinement, sprint planning, release planning, and roadmap discussions.
• Act as a communication bridge between delivery teams, Product Owners, stakeholders, vendors, and business partners.
• Ensure alignment on priorities, timelines, and delivery expectations.

• Monitor sprint progress using Agile metrics such as burndown charts, velocity, and defect tracking.
• Provide regular status updates on delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and blockers.
• Coordinate release schedules and sprint deployments with Release Train Engineers and other stakeholders.
• Ensure operational readiness and successful production deployments.

• Support Agile delivery for data-related initiatives including data migration, transformation, and integration projects.
• Coordinate dependencies across multiple teams involved in migration activities.
• Ensure migration deliverables are completed according to agreed timelines and quality standards.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile environments.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum framework, and Agile delivery practices.
• Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching Agile teams.
• Experience working on data-focused projects, including data migration initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience using Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving, facilitation, mentoring, and conflict-resolution skills.

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale Agile delivery environments.
• Exposure to SAFe or Release Train processes.
• Experience coordinating with external vendors and third-party partners.
• Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Background in banking, financial services, data platforms, or large-scale system implementations is a plus.
