GL Specialist (temp WFH / Night Shift)

Other Details:

• Night shift (11pm to 8am/ 12am-9am)
• Work Location: Temporary WFH
• Preferred applicants who are in Metro Manila or nearby provinces

1. Maintaining financial records:

• Recording financial transactions in the general ledger system
• Preparing and posting journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation
• Monthly and Annual Close Processes: Record information such as accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and interdepartmental entries into the company's accounting ledger
• Ensuring data accuracy through regular audits and checks

1. Account reconciliation:

• Reconciling various accounts with the general ledger on a daily or regular basis
• Verifying bank activity and performing bank reconciliations

1. Financial Analysis:

• Analyzing financial information to ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards
• Performing account analysis to verify correct entries and balances

1. Data entry and management:

• Entering daily cash receipts, disbursements, and other financial transactions into the accounting system
• Maintaining records of all financial documents with appropriate supporting material
• Maintaining supporting schedule for general ledger accounts such as pre-paid, fixed assets amortization, etc.

1. Interdepartmental collaboration:

• Working with other departments to compile, examine, and interpret financial data
• Assisting various departments with accounting issues and queries

1. Accounts Receivable & Soft Collection

• Manage the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including invoicing, soft collections, and credit control
• Liaise with clients to ensure timely payment of invoices and resolve any billing disputes or queries
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts receivable, generating reports and analyzing data

1. Compliance and reporting:

• Ensuring adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant accounting standards
• Preparing financial reports as necessary

• Technical skills- working knowledge in US accounting processes and different accounting systems (e.g. Sage, Quickbooks, R365, Blackline etc.)
• Analytical Skills- ability to think critically, analyze data, make difficult decisions.
• Spreadsheet proficiency- ability to prepare complex spreadsheets.
