A Sales Planning Officer drives revenue growth by designing go-to-market strategies, forecasting demand, and analyzing market trends. They act as the critical bridge between sales, marketing, and operations to optimize territories, set performance quotas, and align sales targets with production and inventory capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive sales plans, go-to-market strategies, and sales compensation or incentive models.
- Performance Analytics: Analyze sales data, track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and generate regular performance reports to evaluate channel and regional success.
- Demand Forecasting: Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to balance product availability with projected sales and promotional campaigns.
- Market Research: Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and consumer buying trends to proactively adjust sales tactics.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Facilitate Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings to ensure all departments are aligned with overarching revenue goals.
