ACCOUNTING ASSOCIATE
John Kelly & Company is a growing management consulting and corporate advisory firm based in Cebu. We assist businesses in strengthening governance, compliance, and structured operations. We are looking for reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Accounting Associates to support the operations.
This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to work in a dynamic, professional environment.
JOB SUMMARY
The Accounting Associate supports financial operation by handling day-to-day accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records and assisting in financial reporting. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards while supporting the consultants and management in financial decision-making.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- FINANCIAL RECORD KEEPING
- Maintain and update general ledger accounts.
- Record daily financial transactions accurately (i.e income, expenses, journal entries)
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.
- ACCOUNTS PAYABLE AND RECEIVABLE
- Proper invoices, payment and expense report.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding client payments.
- Reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve issues.
- BANK AND ACCOUNT RECONCILIATION
- Perform regular bank reconciliations
- Verify accuracy of financial data and identify inconsistencies.
- Assist in correcting discrepancies.
- FINANCIAL REPORTING
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Support Budget tracking and financial analysis
- Provide data for management reports and decision making.
- COMPLIANCE AND AUDIT SUPPORT
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, tax regulations, and company procedures.
- Assist in internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Track and verify business expenses.
- ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
- Maintain organized accounting files and records
- Coordinate with other departments regarding financial matters
- Assist in improving accounting processes and systems.

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or any related field.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft excel.

- Willingness to learn and adapt in a consulting environment.
- With or without experience, fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
