Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Development

Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing offshore development team.

Act as the primary liaison between the Philippines team and New York stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities and deliverables.

Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Technical Execution

Lead hands-on development of back/middle-office systems (e.g., trade capture, books & records, reconciliation).

Enforce coding standards, review pull requests, and optimize performance.

Collaborate with NYC architects to implement cloud-native (AWS/Azure) and service-oriented solutions.

Project Coordination

Break down NYC-led initiatives into actionable tasks for the offshore team.

Track progress, mitigate risks, and report updates to US leadership.

Qualifications:

Must-Have

10 years overall work experience

5+ years of software development experience, with 2+ years in a leadership role (Tech Lead, Scrum Master, or Project Coordinator).

Strong proficiency in C# and MS SQL (query tuning, stored procedures).

Experience with Python for scripting/data automation is a plus.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP) and APIs/microservices is a plus.

Proven ability to manage remote/offshore teams and collaborate across time zones.

Nice-to-Have

Exposure to financial systems (e.g., trade lifecycle, accounting, risk).

Basic knowledge of GUI development (.NET, WPF, or web frameworks like React).

Agile/Scrum certification or experience.
