Job description:

The Experience Design Officer (Instructional Designer) is responsible for designing, developing, and continuously improving engaging, effective, and learner-centered training programs and learning materials. This role focuses on translating organizational learning needs into structured instructional solutions using modern instructional design principles, digital learning tools, and multimedia content.

You will work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), department heads, and key stakeholders to ensure that all learning interventions are aligned with business goals, employee capability development, and overall organizational performance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Learning Needs Analysis
  • Conduct training needs assessments (TNA) across departments and roles
  • Identify skill gaps and performance improvement opportunities
  • Translate business requirements into clear learning objectives and outcomes
  • Gather insights through interviews, surveys, focus group discussions, and data analysis
  1. Instructional Design & Curriculum Development
  • Design structured learning pathways for various roles and competencies
  • Apply instructional design models such as ADDIE, SAM, or Bloom’s Taxonomy
  • Develop storyboards, learning maps, and course outlines
  • Ensure content is learner-centered, engaging, and outcome-driven
  1. Content & Learning Material Development
  • Create e-learning modules, facilitator guides, learner workbooks, and job aids
  • Develop interactive multimedia content such as videos, simulations, and assessments
  • Convert technical or complex information into easy-to-understand learning materials
  • Ensure consistency in tone, branding, and instructional quality across all materials
  1. Digital Learning & LMS Management
  • Upload, manage, and maintain learning content in Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Monitor learner progress, completion rates, and engagement analytics
  • Troubleshoot LMS-related issues in coordination with IT or platform providers
  • Optimize learning experiences using digital tools and platforms
  1. Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
  • Design and implement training evaluation tools (e.g., Kirkpatrick Model)
  • Measure learning effectiveness and training ROI
  • Gather feedback from learners and stakeholders for program enhancement
  • Continuously revise and improve learning programs based on data and feedback
  1. Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work closely with SMEs to validate content accuracy and relevance
  • Partner with HR, L&D, and department leaders for training alignment
  • Present learning proposals, program updates, and evaluation reports
  • Facilitate workshops or training sessions when needed

Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Learning Technology, Psychology, Communication, or related field
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of Instructional Design principles and adult learning theory
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Canva, or similar)
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration and reporting
  • Strong capability in content creation, visual design, and assessment development

  • Exposure to UX/UI principles for learning experience design is an advantage
