Quality Assurance Software Engineer III | Cebu City | Night Shift

Work Schedule: Graveyard Shift, 8:00 PM – 5:00 AM

About the Role

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and play a key role in maintaining product quality and client satisfaction.

• Review requirements and technical designs to define test scope and estimates.
• Design, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform functional, system, web, and backend testing across different environments.
• Track, report, and communicate software defects and enhancement requests.
• Conduct audits of software documentation, processes, and methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and align on solutions.
• Recommend process improvements by identifying error trends and root causes.
• May lead testing efforts for small to mid-sized projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–7 years’ experience in software QA testing methodologies.
• Strong experience in testing web and backend applications (Java, SQL, PL/SQL).
• Proficiency with QA techniques: functional/system testing, automation, anomaly reporting, black box/white box testing.
• Advanced knowledge of databases, SQL joins, and ETL processes (Informatica is a plus).
• Hands-on experience with UNIX systems and shell scripting.
• Familiarity with defect/test management tools (e.g., HP ALM, Bugzilla, ClearQuest).
• Experience working in Agile/Rapid development environments preferred.

• Knowledge of healthcare, managed care, or regulated environments.
• Experience with automation frameworks in Java and SOA-based architectures.
• Background in medical or pharmaceutical terminology.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
