About the role
COMMSEC INC. is seeking a talented Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective procurement of goods and services to support our manufacturing and logistics operations.This is a full-time position based in Metro Manila.
What you'll be doing- Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, service, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors to secure the best value for the organization.
- Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or service.
- Collaborate with internal departments (Finance, Operations, Logistics, etc.) to identify purchasing needs.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other procurement documentation.
- Ensure compliance with local laws, company standards, and ethical procurement practices.
- Track and analyze key procurement metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Support inventory management and ensure adequate stock levels for continuous operations.
- Stay updated on market trends, supply chain risks, and new sourcing opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management (preferably in the Philippines).
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with ERP or procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge of import/export processes and government procurement regulations is an advantage.
