Data Analyst

Position Summary

The Data Analyst will carry out data and analytics function, responsible for transforming complex operational data into clear, meaningful insights that guide decision-making across the organization. The Data Analyst is expected to work independently, partner directly with operational and finance leaders, and translate ambiguous business questions into rigorous analysis and well-designed dashboards.

This is an office based role collaborating with US based team working East Coast US based hours.

Core Responsibilities

• Turn large and complex datasets into clear, meaningful insights that inform strategic and operational decisions.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, join, and aggregate data from multiple source systems and databases.
• Conduct exploratory and ad hoc analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities across operational and financial data.

• Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that make complex data accessible to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain recurring reporting using data analytics and business intelligence tools.
• Establish clear data definitions and documentation so that metrics are consistent, trusted, and reusable across teams.
• Continuously improve report performance, usability, and visual clarity.

• Build and maintain data pipelines and automated workflows that reduce manual reporting and improve data reliability.
• Work with cloud-based data services and storage across AWS and Microsoft environments to access, transform, and manage data at scale.
• Develop scripts and tooling using languages such as Java and C++, and work with JSON-based data structures to support data integration and processing.
• Apply advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data modeling, for analysis and validation.

• Programming experience with Java and C++, and working knowledge of JSON for data exchange and integration.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, joins, and performance tuning.
• Proven ability to build dashboards that scale with changing business requirements.
• Using data analytics and business intelligence tools.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and data modeling.
• Demonstrated ability to turn complex data into clear, meaningful, and actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a data analyst, business intelligence, or comparable analytical role.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, including AWS and Microsoft environments.
• Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
