A speech therapist, also called a speech-language pathologist (SLP), is a healthcare professional who evaluates, diagnoses, and treats communication and swallowing disorders in children and adults.
Qualifications/Requirements
Registered Speech-Language Pathologist (RSLP), must meet the requirements set by the Professional Regulation Commission and the Board of Speech-Language Pathology.- Must finish a Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (BS SLP) from a school recognized by the Commission on Higher Education.
- Must pass the board exam administered by the Professional Regulation Commission.
