Technology Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute a forward-looking technology roadmap aligned with business goals, customer experience expectations, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Lead the modernization of legacy systems, implementation of scalable digital platforms, and adoption of emerging technologies such as AI/ML, cloud computing, APIs, and cybersecurity tools.
- Collaborate with global or regional stakeholders to align local systems with international standards and best practices.
- Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement across the technology function.
- Oversee all customer and back-office operations, including new business processing, policy servicing, claims, underwriting support, and contact center operations.
- Drive operational efficiency and scalability through automation, system integration, and streamlined processes.
- Ensure superior customer and distributor experience across all channels and touchpoints.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory standards, including those set by the Insurance Commission and the Data Privacy Act, as well as internal corporate policies.
- Lead efforts around IT security, risk management, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Champion a culture of operational and technology risk awareness and mitigation.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire cross-functional teams spanning IT, digital, and operations functions.
- Build future-ready capabilities and develop leadership talent within the organization.
- Promote collaboration across teams and drive accountability for delivery and performance.
- Serve as the primary liaison for technology and operations matters with internal departments (e.g., distribution, finance, HR, compliance) and external partners (e.g., vendors, auditors, regulators).
- Represent the technology and operations agenda at the Board and Executive Committee levels.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or other relevant advanced degree is a strong advantage.
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in IT and/or Operations, with at least 5 years at the executive level in life insurance or financial services.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale digital transformation initiatives and operational excellence programs.
- Deep knowledge of core insurance platforms, cloud and digital architecture, data security, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Strong vendor and budget management experience.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills.
- Tech-savvy and transformation-oriented.
- Agile mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
- Strong governance and risk management capabilities.
