Job Description

1. Act as the assistant/deputy for the drilling team throughout the project duration.
2. Assist with the proper handling and operation of the assigned drilling machine.
3. Assist in conducting the testing and sampling operations in accordance with standard procedures.
4. Ensure the complete and accurate recording test data and field conditions by:

1. Measuring accurately the dept to the top of each sample.
2. Recording the penetration resistance of the sampler and pressure needed to push the thin-walled samplers into the ground.
3. Verify the ground water levels are taken at each hole by the driller.
4. Recording unusual observations.

1. Responsible for the proper preservation and labeling of representative samples for future identification, checking or index testing. Ensure that representative samples are safe, guarding them from sunlight, impact or vibration.
2. Report to the site supervisors any unusual operation/working condition.
3. Follow other instructions directed by the Project Officer-in-charge.

• 25 to 50 years old.
• Must be a high School graduate.
• A minimum of 5 years experience in drilling works.
• Knows how to conduct SPT & Coring test.
• Knowledge and must be familiar in drilling materials and accessories.
• Knowledge and must be familiar in classifying soil and rock samples.
• Knows how to fill up field/drillers log/ measure stick ups/ maintain & trouble shoot drilling equipment.
• Knows how to follow safety Guidelines with regards to drilling works.
• He must be a compliance to OSH standard.
