- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in management accounting or financial analysis
- Professional certification such as CMA, CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent credential
- Strong knowledge of French GAAP
- Ability to communicate effectively in French
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting
- Proficiency in accounting software, preferably NetSuite, and advanced Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of a growing business
- Knowledge of additional local GAAP frameworks, including the UK, Australia, the US, Germany, and Spain, is an advantage
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis- Support the monthly close process by collaborating with the business and wider finance team to ensure the accurate and timely capture of financial information
- Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Provide detailed variance analysis and financial performance insights to senior management, identifying key trends and performance indicators
- Assist in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans
- Coordinate with the local French accountancy firm to align the accounting records of the group's French entities with French GAAP requirements for audit and tax compliance
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
- Prepare audit schedules and liaise with external auditors during the annual audit process
- Compile financial information and coordinate with advisors on tax and regulatory matters
- Support the financial operations of the French business, including monthly payroll and VAT compliance
- Support the integration of newly acquired businesses by aligning financial operations with group accounting policies
- Collaborate with the finance team to enhance financial systems and processes, improving data accuracy and reporting efficiency
- Implement automation and process improvements to streamline financial reporting and analysis
