JOB SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor reports directly to the Production Head and is responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end production process of kitchen equipment fabrication. This role ensures that production targets are achieved on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.The Production Supervisor plays a key role in planning, coordinating, and optimizing manpower, materials, and machinery to drive efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement production schedules in alignment with customer orders, project timelines, and priorities set by the Production Head.
- Supervise and coordinate daily shop-floor production activities to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor production efficiency, identify bottlenecks, minimize downtime, and lead continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure strict compliance with fabrication drawings, technical specifications, quality requirements, and workplace safety protocols.
- Coordinate closely with Engineering, Procurement, Quality Control, and Maintenance teams to resolve production and technical issues.
- Manage, train, and motivate production staff; assign clear responsibilities, monitor performance, and enforce discipline and accountability.
- Track and maintain accurate records of production output, material consumption, scrap, and machine maintenance.
- Prepare and submit regular production reports covering performance, challenges, corrective actions, and improvement initiatives to the Production Head.
- Support the Production Head in capacity planning, manpower planning, and implementation of lean manufacturing practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing, preferably in kitchen equipment or a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of stainless steel fabrication, welding processes, and shop-floor operations.
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
