Warehouse Staff

About the role

This position is fundamental to our supply chain operations and directly contributes to the success of our business.

1. Receiving, checking, and recording incoming shipments of food products, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are maintained
2. Organizing and storing products in designated warehouse using proper storage techniques and inventory management systems
3. Maintaining cleanliness and organize of the warehouse environment, including work areas, storage spaces, and loading docks
4. Assisting with inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure accurate stock levels and reconciliation
5. Following all health, safety, and food handling regulations and company protocols
6. Reporting any damaged products, discrepancies, or safety concerns to management immediately
7. Supporting other team members to meet warehouse targets and deadlines

1. Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour tasks, including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods
2. High school diploma or equivalent qualification; further training in warehousing or logistics is advantageous
3. Experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or a similar role within the manufacturing, transport and logistics sector
4. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, particularly relevant to the food distribution industry
5. Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and basic computer skills
6. Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
7. Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in picking, packing, and inventory processes
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment
9. Reliability and punctuality, with a commitment to maintaining consistent attendance
10. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
