Formworks in charge
Key Responsibilities:
- Asset Management: Maintain a complete and accurate inventory of all formwork assets,
including regular stocktaking, tracking and reporting on their condition and location.
Implement and maintain a system for tracking, ensuring proper storage and
maintenance to minimize loss or damage. This includes managing the disposal of
obsolete or damaged formwork.- Formworks Design and Engineering: Determine formwork layout and quantity
requirements for various projects based on design specifications. Perform formwork
load and strength computations to ensure structural integrity and safety compliance.
Prepare formworks plans and specifications.- Project Management and Allocation: Manage the allocation and usage of formwork
equipment across multiple projects simultaneously, optimizing resource utilization and
minimizing downtime. Schedule equipment delivery and return, coordinate with project
teams and track equipment usage.- Fabrication and Rehabilitation Oversight: Oversee the fabrication of new formwork
system and rehabilitation of formwork. This include reviewing designs, selecting
materials, monitoring and fabrication process, and ensuring quality control. This also
includes managing the repair and maintenance of damaged formwork.- Communication and Coordination: Maintain regular communication with project
managers and site formworks engineer to ensure the proper handling, usage and
maintenance of formwork equipment. Proactively address any potential issues and
concerns. This includes coordinating with external contractors involved in fabrication or
rehabilitation.- Enforcement of Policies and Procedures: Enforce company policies and procedures
related to formwork equipment usage and safety. Address any misuse of equipment
promptly, escalating concerns to appropriate project in-charge and project manager, and
recommending disciplinary actions as necessary. Document instances of misuse and
implement corrective actions.- Budgeting and Cost Control: Assist in developing and managing the budget for
formwork materials, fabrication, and rehabilitation. Track expenses and identify
opportunities for cost savings.
Qualification:
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 1 year up experience in formwork operations.
- Proven track record of supervising formwork for concrete structure
- Managing crews and coordinating with other site teams
- Planning and sequencing formwork erection/dismantling.
