Your Role:
As a B2B Account Executive, you will:
- Business Development: Generate new commercial accounts through proactive market research, cold calling, and strategic email outreach utilizing business directories and digital leads.
- Lead & Inbox Management: Monitor and manage multiple local and national sales inboxes, converting incoming leads immediately and assigning non-local inquiries to regional branches.
- Account Defense: Maintain strong relationships with existing local and national accounts, reacting with high urgency to defend them against competitor poaching.
- Deal Execution: Prepare professional commercial proposals, verify application forms, and ensure signed Gas Supply Agreements (GSAs) are processed with 100% accuracy within 48 hours.
- Sales Tracking & Reporting: Compile detailed weekly, monthly, and quarterly activity logs documenting cold calls, lead conversions, competitor movements, and target metrics.
- Finance Liaison: Collaborate directly with the Accounts Department to resolve payment issues, manage credit flags, and handle stop-supply escalations for client portfolios.
- Safety Integration: Actively support the Company's Safety Vision by participating in formal risk assessments—including HAZOP, HAZID, Management of Change (MOC), and Permit to Work (PTW) protocols.
What You Need:
Non-negotiables- 2 to 4 years of experience in an internal sales, inside sales, or business development capacity.
- Strong background in B2B solution prospecting, with a knack for identifying decision-makers and uncovering pain points.
- Proven experience driving new business sales and expanding market share through proactive outbound strategies.
- Solid understanding of internal sales environments, including CRM management, pipeline tracking, and remote client engagement.
- Prior sales experience within the industrial gas, chemical, logistics, or commercial hospitality supply sectors.
- Familiarity with the Capricorn network or managing specialized automotive/industrial buying group prospect lists.
- Hands-on knowledge of technical risk assessment frameworks such as HAZOP, HAZID, or RFSR (Ready for Start-up Review).
- Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to manage complex billing or contract disputes smoothly.
- Advanced technical literacy in managing shared sales pipelines, automated task lists, and cross-functional distribution tools.
