Position Overview:
We're hiring a Senior Bookkeeper to manage a portfolio of client accounts, lead accurate month-end close processes, and mentor junior bookkeeping staff. You'll also play a key role in onboarding new clients and improving bookkeeping workflows.This is a great role for someone with strong technical skills who enjoys both leadership and client communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients (QuickBooks Online).
- Handle AP/AR, reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.
- Lead the month-end close process and ensure the books are accurate and tax-ready.
- Review and mentor junior bookkeepers and offshore team members.
- Communicate directly with US-based clients to provide financial clarity and resolve issues.
- Maintain and improve SOPs and accounting workflows.
- Support client onboarding and assist in setting up accounting systems.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally in a client-facing role.
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO ProAdvisor certification a plus).
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting, GAAP basics, and financial reporting.
- Experience working with small businesses, especially in services or professional sectors.
- Clear and confident English communication (verbal and written).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience managing a bookkeeping team or reviewing others' work.
- Background supporting US-based clients directly.
- Familiarity with searchers, acquisition entrepreneurs, or self-funded buyers.
