Accounting Analyst (Oracle Administrator)
Role Summary
The Accounting Analyst (Oracle System) is responsible for the administration, monitoring, and control of Oracle system, with a strong focus on General Ledger (GL), month‑end close support, system jobs, interfaces, and financial controls.This role bridges Finance & Accounting processes with system administration, ensuring system stability, accurate financial data, and timely month‑end close.
Key Responsibilities- Oracle System & Tools Administration
- Administer and support Oracle, primarily General Ledger (GL)
- Perform system configuration support aligned with accounting requirements
- Coordinate system access and controls in compliance with finance policies
- Finance & Accounting System Support
- Perform and maintain account mapping
- Open and close ledger periods in line with month‑end and year‑end timetables
- Provide support for 1+ full month‑end close cycles
- Partner with Finance teams during reconciliations and close activities
- Transaction, Job & Interface Monitoring
- Monitor system jobs, scheduled processes, and interface feeds
- Identify, analyze, and resolve stuck or failed transactions
- Prepare exception and stuck transaction reports
- Coordinate issues with Finance, IT, and upstream/downstream system owners
- Controls, Reporting & Compliance
- Ensure proper posting discipline and system controls
- Support internal and external audits
- Maintain documentation for system procedures and configurations
- 1+ year experience supporting month‑end close
- Hands‑on experience with Oracle
- Background in Finance and Accounting (GL exposure required)
- Experience with:
- Account mapping
- Opening and closing ledger periods
- Stuck transaction reporting
- System jobs and interface feed monitoring
- Strong analytical, documentation, and coordination skills
- Willing to work onsite
- Willing to work night shift
