POSITION OVERVIEW
The Accounting Assistant supports the Finance & Accounting team in delivering accurate, compliant, and timely financial reporting for Total Philippines Corporation. The role is responsible for general accounting, tax compliance, reconciliation, audit support, and end-to-end accounting functions across multiple entities.Experience in oil & gas, downstream operations, or inventory-intensive industries is a strong advantage.
KEY RESPOSIBILITIES- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Enter and maintain accurate financial data in accounting systems
- Process invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
- Prepare and organize financial documents and reports
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Maintain filing systems and accounting records
- Respond to internal and external accounting-related inquiries
- Assist with audits and other accounting projects as needed
Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications & Skills- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Previous experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role preferred
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Good communication and time-management skills
