GT Retailer Marketing Manager

Location: BGC, Taguig
Work Set-Up: Full Onsite

Schedule: Monday–Friday | Day Shift

Job Description

The General Trade Retailer Marketing Manager drives retailer marketing initiatives within the General Trade to accelerate sales, strengthen channel performance, and support category growth priorities. This role designs and executes retailer-focused strategies, toolkits, and national initiatives that improve availability, visibility, and conversion across priority territories and emerging channels.

Key Responsibilities

Channel Development & Execution
  • Diagnose channel and area performance using data, market insights, and field inputs
  • Develop and execute tailored strategies and turnaround plans for critical territories
  • Create retailer marketing tactics including volume targets, budget planning, and CTS builds
  • Lead POSM and materials briefing, IAP creation, sell-in decks, and sales toolkits
  • Coordinate closely with Sales, Commercial Units, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Monitor execution, proactively identify risks, and adjust tactics to maintain effectiveness
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and share learnings to refine future initiatives
  • Develop business continuity plans to ensure resilience during disruptions or crises
Emerging Channels & Category Growth Acceleration
  • Identify and prioritize high-growth emerging channels using market and shopper insights
  • Define the role of new channels within the broader commercial and GT strategy
  • Continuously refine channel segmentation based on evolving market trends
  • Support accelerated growth of priority categories through channel-specific BTL initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with Category teams on launches and growth programs
  • Align channel and category initiatives with brand objectives and commercial targets
Program Planning & Scalability
  • Assess initiative scalability and readiness to transition into business-as-usual programs
  • Lead smooth handover and integration of successful pilots into ongoing operations
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Management, or a related field
  • 5–8 years of experience in General Trade marketing, channel development, or commercial roles (FMCG)
  • Strong understanding of GT execution, retailer marketing, and channel strategy
  • Proven experience developing sell-in tools, POSM strategies, and field execution programs
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
