Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment: Routinely inspect the production floor, machinery, and workstations to identify and mitigate safety hazards (e.g., chemical spills, unguarded machines, or poor ergonomics).Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the facility adheres to all national and local Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) laws.Incident Investigation: Lead thorough investigations of accidents or "near-misses" to determine root causes and implement corrective, preventive actions (CAPA).Safety Training: Develop and conduct regular safety orientation, emergency drills (e.g., fire, earthquake), and proper equipment handling sessions for all personnel.PPE Management: Enforce the proper use, maintenance, and regular replacement of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Emergency Preparedness: Maintain and update the facility’s emergency response plans and ensure first aid kits, eye-wash stations, and fire extinguishers are up to standard.
Qualifications/Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical/engineering field.Experience: 2 to 5 years of proven experience in industrial or manufacturing safety management.Certifications: Mandatory OHS training certificates required by local authorities (e.g., DOLE-BOSH or COSH certification in the Philippines, or OSHA 30-hour for US-based standards).Skills: Exceptional communication and leadership skills; strong analytical thinking; proficiency in investigating and documenting root causes.
