Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Technician with a specialization in glass products and solutions. The role combines technical knowledge with sales skills to provide clients with expert advice on glass materials, fabrication, installation, and product performance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating leads, closing sales, and delivering technical support throughout the sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Client Engagement

Promote and sell architectural or industrial glass products to clients in construction, design, retail, and manufacturing sectors.
Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate glass solutions (e.g., tempered, laminated, insulated, low-E, decorative).
Prepare and present product demonstrations, samples, and technical proposals.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, contractors, fabricators, developers, and specifiers.

Technical Support

Provide accurate product knowledge including performance specifications, installation methods, and compliance with safety or building standards.
Assist clients with technical documentation (e.g., data sheets, certifications, test results).
Troubleshoot product or installation issues in collaboration with engineering or operations teams.
Attend site visits, measure openings, and assess feasibility of custom glass solutions.

Business Development

Identify new sales opportunities and develop strategies to increase market share.
Collaborate with marketing to support promotional activities, product launches, and trade shows.
Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and new glass technologies.

Sales Administration

Prepare and follow up on quotations, bids, and contracts.
Maintain customer records, track sales activities, and report on progress using CRM tools.

Coordinate with production or operations to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Industrial Design, or a related field (preferred but not required if compensated by experience).
Proven experience (2+ years) in technical sales, preferably in the glass, construction materials, or building products industry.
Solid understanding of glass types, fabrication methods, glazing systems, and building code requirements.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD (basic), and CRM platforms.
