Finance director

Job Description

1. Advises on venture capital and private equity fundraising strategies;
2. Develops strategies to increase return on investment and profitability;
3. Collaborates with the executives and directors to create budgets and track key performance indicators;
4. Developing budget forecasts and ensuring they are kept up-to-date, identifying emerging issues, threats and opportunities, and initiating actions to ensure that the business achieves its objectives;
5. Providing accurate, analytic and timely key decision-making support and ensuring consistent and insightful business portfolio analysis and reporting;
6. Managing the processes for budgeting, forecasting and standardized management reporting including the accurate allocation of budget and other management responsibilities
7. Meets deadlines in a fast-paced work environment;
8. To perform such other duties as are incident to his office or are entrusted to him by the Board of Directors.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate financial concepts effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to lead and motivate a team, foster collaboration, and drive results.
• Must be able to Speak, Read and Write Japanese language.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred but not required.

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), financial management, or related roles.
• Prior experience in a leadership or managerial capacity overseeing financial operations or teams is highly desirable.
• Experience in the manufacturing, consumer goods, or related industry sectors is advantageous.
