PROCUREMENT AND LOGISTICS OFFICER (CONSTRUCTION)

Overview:

The Procurement and Logistics Officer is responsible for overseeing all procurement and logistics activities for construction projects, including canvassing, sourcing, and negotiating with suppliers. This role ensures the timely delivery of materials, proper coordination across multiple project sites, and the efficient management of inventory and supplier relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Handle purchasing and logistics for multiple construction sites
• Canvass and source materials, equipment, and suppliers
• Monitor and manage inventory of construction materials
• Coordinate delivery schedules to ensure timely project execution
• Communicate effectively with site engineers, suppliers, and workers
• Ensure proper handling and allocation of equipment and materials
• Apply basic knowledge of construction technicalities in procurement decisions
• Prepare reports on purchasing, deliveries, and inventory status
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or any related field
• Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or logistics (construction industry is an advantage)
• Knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment
• Strong negotiation and canvassing skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle multiple sites and coordinate with different teams
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
