Purchasing Officer

About the role

As a Purchasing Officer at Arterra Hotel, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth procurement of goods and services to support the operations of the hotel. This full-time position is based in Punta Engaño, Lapu-Lapu City.

• Identifying and evaluating potential suppliers to source high-quality supplies and services at competitive prices
• Negotiating contracts and purchasing agreements to secure the best terms for the business
• Coordinating with other department to understand their procurement needs and manage the procurement process effectively
• Maintaining accurate records and inventory levels to optimise stock management
• Ensuring all purchases comply with company policies and procedures as well as relevant regulations
• Continuously seeking ways to streamline the purchasing function and drive cost efficiencies

• Minimum of 1 year experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within the hospitality or service industry
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills with a proven ability to secure favorable terms from vendors and suppliers
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively coordinating with both internal teams and external partners
• Proficient in data analysis and inventory management systems to support accurate and cost-effective purchasing decisions
• Adaptable and resourceful, able to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments
• Solid understanding of procurement regulations, industry best practices, and supplier compliance
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel for supplier coordination or deliveries as neede
