Position Overview:

A Contract Commercial Specialist is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of commercial contracts within an organization. This includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and managing relationships with vendors and clients.

This position plays a crucial role in risk mitigation and ensuring the smooth execution of contractual obligations.

Job Description:

  • Develop Proposal and Bidding Documents
  • Conducts review on proposal or bidding documents such as the Statement of Compliance (SOC), and provides inputs and SOC answers for submission to the customer
  • Helps identify commercial and legal risks, making sure the protective clauses have been put into the bidding documents such as the SOC
  • Attends proposal review meetings organized by the bidding responsible and help explain commercial & legal-related terms
  • Conducts commercial & legal functional review in iSales for proposals or bidding documents
  • Negotiate and Generate Contract
  • Conducts contract negotiation with customer
  • Makes commercial & legal related clarifications to customer’s questions on the SOC
  • Conducts commercial & legal functional review in iSales
  • Conducts commercial & legal functional review and provides inputs for the risk assessment table (RAT)
  • Prepares draft contracts; Outputs a consolidated and updated draft contract during and/or after negotiation
  • Finalizes the contract by following ATC decision, checking and ensuring the ready-to-sign contract is completely consistent with the final versions which passed the functional review, comprehensive review (if any) and decision
  • Contract Handshake
  • Participates in contract handshake meetings and handover the contract documents to the delivery team
  • Manage Contract and PO Change
  • Conducts commercial & legal functional review in iSales for purchase orders and contract amendments and provides functional review suggestions

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in legal management, Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or any similar field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in contracts management or vendor management; fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in contract documentation and compliance.
  • Basic understanding of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks applicable to telecommunications contracts.
  • Contract negotiation experience is a plus.
