Accounts and Finance Head Officer
About the role
As the Accounts and Finance Head Officer at VALUEHOME FURNITURE TRADING', you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations and reporting for this fast-growing furniture retail company. Based in Davao City, Davao del Sur, this full-time position is responsible for maintaining the company's financial integrity and driving strategic financial decision-making.
What you'll be doing- Manage the end-to-end accounting and finance functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to identify trends and inform business decisions.
- Oversee the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections to support the company's growth strategy.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support business initiatives.
- Supervise and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Partner with the leadership team to develop and implement financial strategies that drive profitability and operational efficiency.
- Qualified accountant (CPA or equivalent) with 8+ years of experience in a senior finance or accounting role, preferably in the retail or consumer goods industry.
- Proven track record of managing financial operations, budgeting, and reporting for a growing organization.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make well-informed decisions.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate financial insights into actionable business strategies.
- Proficient in the use of accounting software, financial modelling, and data analysis tools.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
