Job Description:
The project-based Accountant will support our finance team on specific projects. The ideal candidate must a strong background in accounting principles and practices, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Roles and Responsibilities:- Prepare, analyze, and maintain financial records for assigned projects.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures, providing regular updates to management.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, forecasts, and project cost analyses.
- Collaborate with project managers to track project financial performance and ensure alignment with budgetary goals.
- Support month-end closing processes, including reconciliations and adjustments.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations for project improvements.
- Liaise with external auditors as necessary during project reviews.
- Perform other accounting-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Years of accounting experience, preferably in a project-based environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
