About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Workday HCM Application Engineer specializing in Compensation & Benefits to join our growing technology team. In this role, you'll design, configure, enhance, and support Workday solutions that power critical HR business processes across the organization.
You'll work alongside HR, business stakeholders, and cross-functional technology teams to deliver innovative solutions, optimize Workday capabilities, and drive continuous improvements within an Agile DevOps environment.

What You'll Do- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Workday Compensation & Benefits and support one or more Workday modules, including:
- Core HCM
- Payroll
- Talent
- Absence
- Time Tracking
- Integration
- Security
- Data Conversion
- Configure, customize, and enhance Workday applications to support evolving business needs.
- Design, build, and maintain integrations between Workday and enterprise systems such as SAP and other third-party platforms.
- Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Support the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions.
- Monitor interfaces, data loads, security configurations, and application performance to ensure system reliability.
- Develop custom reports, integrations, and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with business users, HR teams, software engineers, and vendors to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and knowledge articles.
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve system performance.

- Understanding of software engineering principles and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-driven, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in Agile environments using Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe methodologies.
