JOB DESCRIPTIONs
  • Manage and maintain the venue’s IT infrastructure, including Wi-Fi networks, servers, computers, and communication systems.
  • Provide technical support to staff, clients, and vendors during events, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues as they arise.
  • Set up and configure event-related technology, such as projectors, sound systems, video conferencing equipment, and presentation systems.
  • Monitor the venue’s network performance to ensure smooth and uninterrupted internet connectivity for events and daily operations.
  • Collaborate with the AV team to ensure proper integration of IT and audio-visual equipment for live events, streaming, and virtual events.
  • Oversee the installation and maintenance of security systems, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, and alarms.
  • Ensure that all IT systems comply with data protection regulations and cybersecurity standards, implementing security protocols to protect sensitive data.
  • Provide IT training and support to venue staff to ensure they are proficient in using technology systems for events and day-to-day operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues during live events, ensuring minimal downtime or disruption.
  • Maintain an inventory of IT equipment, including laptops, cables, and other hardware, ensuring all devices are updated and functioning properly.
  • Manage the venue’s event management software, booking systems, and client databases, ensuring they are secure and optimized for use.
  • Collaborate with external IT vendors and service providers for specialized equipment or software when necessary.
  • Stay current on IT trends, software, and hardware advancements to ensure the venue’s technology remains up-to-date and competitive.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any related field.
  2. At least 1 year of experience in IT support, technical assistance, or network/system maintenance.
  3. Experience in event support (handling IT and AV setup during live or virtual events) is a plus.
  4. Knowledgeable in Wi-Fi/network setup and troubleshooting.
  5. Proficient in hardware and software troubleshooting (computers, printers, projectors, etc.).
  6. Familiar with audio-visual (AV) systems — projectors, sound systems, video conferencing tools.
  7. Can work during events or off-hours if needed.
