The IT Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and support of the company’s information technology systems, infrastructure, and retail technology solutions. The role ensures stable and secure IT operations across stores, warehouses, offices, POS systems, network infrastructure, hardware, software, and business applications to support efficient retail and supermarket operations.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & Technical Support- Supervise daily IT operations and provide technical support for stores, offices, warehouses, and business units.
- Ensure availability and functionality of POS systems, back-office systems, servers, network devices, computers, printers, scanners, CCTV, and other IT equipment.
- Monitor and resolve hardware, software, network, and system-related issues within agreed service timelines.
- Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrading of IT equipment and applications.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance activities and system health monitoring.
- Ensure stable operation of retail systems including POS, inventory systems, ERP, pricing systems, and related business applications.
- Support store opening activities including IT setup, network readiness, POS deployment, and system configuration.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for system implementation, maintenance, and issue resolution.
- Monitor internet connectivity, VPN, wireless access points, and communication systems.
- Assist in implementing IT security controls, user access management, backup procedures, and data protection practices.
- Monitor compliance with company IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and operational procedures.
- Ensure proper inventory and accountability of IT assets and software licenses.
- Support disaster recovery and backup procedures for critical systems.
- Supervise IT staff, technicians, or outsourced support personnel and ensure proper task assignment and follow-through.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and technical support to team members.
- Prepare reports on IT issues, system performance, project status, and operational concerns.
- Recommend process improvements and technology solutions to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
- Support company events, activations, and operational activities requiring IT setup or technical assistance.
- Perform other related duties that may be assigned by management from time to time.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any related field.
- At least 3–5 years of relevant IT experience, preferably in retail, supermarket, FMCG, or multi-site operations.
- With supervisory or team lead experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of:
- POS systems
- Network infrastructure
- Hardware and software troubleshooting
- Windows operating systems
- Basic server administration
- CCTV and security systems
- IT asset management
- Knowledge in ERP systems, cloud systems, and cybersecurity practices is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, coordination, and leadership skills.
- Willing to conduct store visits and provide on-call support when necessary.
