Job Summary
The Insurance Specialist is responsible for processing, coordinating, and monitoring all insurance-related transactions of vehicle sales. The position ensures timely issuance of insurance policies, proper documentation, compliance with company and insurance provider requirements, and excellent customer service.The Insurance Specialist serves as the liaison between customers, insurance companies, financing institutions, and dealership departments to facilitate smooth and efficient insurance processing.
Duties and Responsibilities
Insurance Processing and Coordination- Assist customers in selecting suitable motor vehicle insurance products and coverage options.
- Prepare, process, and submit insurance applications and related documents to accredited insurance providers.
- Coordinate with insurance companies regarding policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and claims-related concerns.
- Ensure timely release of insurance policies required for vehicle registration, financing, and delivery.
- Verify completeness and accuracy of insurance application forms and supporting documents.
- Maintain organized and updated records of insurance policies, renewals, endorsements, and related transactions.
- Monitor policy expiration dates and coordinate renewals with customers and insurance providers.
- Prepare reports on insurance sales, policy issuance, renewals, and outstanding transactions.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding insurance coverage, premiums, claims procedures, and policy status.
- Provide clear explanations of insurance terms, conditions, and benefits.
- Assist customers in resolving insurance-related concerns and coordinate with insurance companies when necessary.
- Guide customers through the insurance claims process.
- Coordinate with insurance companies, repair facilities, and customers regarding claim requirements and status updates.
- Monitor claim progress and ensure timely resolution of claims concerns.
- Promote dealership-accredited insurance products to vehicle buyers.
- Support the achievement of insurance sales targets and dealership profitability objectives.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with insurance providers and business partners.
- Identify opportunities to increase insurance penetration and customer retention.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, insurance regulations, and industry standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information and insurance records.
- Submit accurate and timely reports as required by Management.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by Management from time to time.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Insurance, or any related field.
- At least one (1) year of experience in insurance processing, automotive sales administration, financing, or related work is preferred.
- Knowledge of motor vehicle insurance products, underwriting requirements, and claims procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
