Senior Manager, Global Sourcing (Mandarin Speaking)
Job Purpose
The Global Sourcing Senior Manager is responsible for developing and executing effective global sourcing and commodity management strategies. This role focuses on supplier management, parts sourcing, and procurement to ensure high‑quality supply at optimal cost across multiple locations.
The position involves analyzing procurement trends, supplier performance, and market dynamics to generate insights that support supply stability, cost efficiency, and compliance with quality standards. The Senior Manager leads negotiations for major supplier agreements and partners closely with cross‑functional teams to drive supply chain excellence.
This role also leads and develops a team of procurement professionals while supporting broader global procurement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead global sourcing and procurement activities to support manufacturing, assembly, or service operations
- Develop and implement commodity strategies aligned with business objectives
- Manage supplier performance related to cost, delivery, quality, and service
- Drive supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives
- Negotiate commercial agreements, including pricing, terms, conditions, and warranties
- Identify cost‑saving opportunities while ensuring supply continuity and risk mitigation
- Establish sourcing processes that support new product introductions and production ramp‑ups
- Conduct regular spend analysis and supplier performance reviews
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align sourcing strategies with business needs
- Visit and engage with existing and potential suppliers as required
- Manage, mentor, and develop procurement team members
- Support global procurement projects and inventory optimization initiatives
Qualifications
Education- Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field preferred)
- Master’s degree or professional certification is a plus
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in global sourcing, supplier management, and procurement
- Proven experience in managerial or senior leadership roles
- Strong background in supply chain strategy and execution
- Experience working with global teams and suppliers in diverse markets
- Solid negotiation and contract management skills
- Proficiency in ERP or procurement systems
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
