Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing the company's end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, demand planning, inventory management, logistics, supplier relationships, and customer fulfilment. The role is critical in ensuring the efficient flow of electronic components and supply chain solutions while maintaining service excellence, cost efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
The successful candidate will work closely with Sales, Warehouse, Accounting, and key suppliers to support business growth, improve supply chain performance, and mitigate risks associated with the electronics and semiconductor industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Planning & Operations- Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives and customer requirements.
- Oversee demand planning, supply planning, inventory control, and order fulfillment processes.
- Ensure product availability while maintaining optimal inventory levels and working capital.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service performance.
- Manage sourcing and procurement activities for electronic components, semiconductor products, and related materials.
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors.
- Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Monitor inventory levels, turnover, aging stock, and excess and obsolete inventory.
- Implement inventory optimization strategies to balance customer demand and cost efficiency.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Oversee Import and Export (IMPEX), transportation, and distribution operations.
- Coordinate with IMPEX activities and ensure compliance with relevant trade regulations.
- Optimize logistics processes to improve delivery performance and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with Sales and Account Management teams to support customer requirements and growth opportunities.
- Provide supply chain insights and recommendations to improve customer service and operational performance.
- Participate in customer meetings to address supply-related concerns and develop strategic solutions.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including supplier constraints, material shortages, logistics disruptions, and market fluctuations.
- Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies.
- Monitor semiconductor and electronics market trends affecting supply continuity.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Purchasing team.
- Set departmental objectives, monitor performance, and conduct regular reviews.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Track and analyze supply chain KPIs and operational performance metrics.
- Prepare management reports and recommendations for business improvement.
- Drive process improvements and support SAP system enhancement initiatives.
Skill and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (APICS/CPIM/CSCP, CIPS, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, inventory management, or related functions.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role.
- Experience within the electronics, semiconductor, component distribution, or supply chain solutions industry is highly preferred.
- Proven experience managing supplier relationships, inventory planning, and logistics operations.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain management principles.
- Knowledge of electronic components, semiconductor supply chains, and global sourcing practices.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
- Proficiency in SAP systems, Quickbase and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
