Business Analyst

About the role

Ascendion is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our team in Cebu City, Cebu. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in analysing business requirements, defining solutions, and contributing to the successful delivery of IT projects that drive the growth and development of our organisation.

• Gather, document, and analyse business requirements from stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements
• Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and user stories
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and project managers, to ensure effective implementation of solutions
• Conduct gap analyses, create process flows, and develop data models to support the design and development of new systems
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to elicit requirements, manage expectations, and gain stakeholder buy-in
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to end-users during the testing and deployment phases
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of implemented solutions, recommending enhancements as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Information & Communication Technology industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and identify innovative solutions
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between business and technology
• Experience in gathering requirements, creating process flows, and developing data models
• Proficient in using business analysis tools and techniques, such as use cases, user stories, and wireframing
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working in an agile environment
• Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is preferred
