Cloud Database Engineer (Expert Level: E3)

We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Database Engineer to lead the planning, deployment, support, and optimization of scalable and resilient database systems. This role requires expertise in multiple database technologies, a strong automation mindset, and the ability to deliver reliable solutions in a cloud environment.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and execute database initiatives.
• Automate provisioning and configuration of cloud infrastructure using Ansible and Terraform.
• Provide 24x7 operational support for database systems supporting Procurement and Business Network lines of business.
• Serve as point of contact for escalated technical issues, demonstrating strong troubleshooting skills.
• Continuously explore new cloud and database technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and optimization.
• Work with public cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Manage and operate Linux-based systems, writing automation scripts in Python, Shell, or equivalent.
• Leverage Kubernetes for container orchestration and scalability of data services.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in planning, deploying, supporting, and optimizing scalable database systems.
• Strong expertise with SAP HANA, Cassandra, Kafka, Redis, Postgres, and Hadoop.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with public cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Proficiency with Linux systems and scripting (Python, Shell, etc.).
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Understanding of Agile principles and methodologies.
