Medical Assistant (URGENT) in Pasay

JOB SUMMARY:

This role involves providing exceptional customer service, facilitating medical examinations, and coordinating with healthcare providers to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Act as the primary point of contact for maritime personnel and seafarers undergoing pre-employment medical screenings. Provide courteous, empathetic, and efficient customer service to address inquiries, concerns, and requests for assistance.
2. Coordinate and facilitate pre-employment medical screenings for maritime personnel in accordance with industry regulations and company policies. Assist with scheduling appointments, collecting medical history information, and ensuring all necessary tests and evaluations are completed.
3. Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all pre-employment medical screenings. Document relevant information, test results, and medical assessments in electronic medical records systems while adhering to privacy regulations.
4. Provide health education and guidance to maritime personnel and seafarers regarding pre-employment medical requirements, screening procedures, and health and safety considerations. Answer questions and address concerns to help individuals understand and comply with medical screening protocols.
5. Collaborate with healthcare providers, including physicians, nurses, and laboratory staff, to ensure timely and accurate completion of pre-employment medical screenings. Communicate effectively to coordinate appointments, share medical information, and facilitate follow-up care as needed.
6. Stay informed about maritime regulations, guidelines, and industry standards related to pre-employment medical screenings and healthcare services. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate documentation of processes and procedures.
7. Assist in coordinating emergency medical response procedures for any medical issues that arise during pre-employment screenings. Work with healthcare providers and emergency response teams to ensure prompt and appropriate medical care for individuals in need.

WORK LOCATION: PASAY CITY (near LRT Buendia)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree. Graduated in the course of BS nursing (without license) are welcome to apply.
• Must have knowledge and experience in performing ECG.
• Proficient in taking vital signs.
• Skilled in blood extraction/phlebotomy.
• Must be willing to work in Pasay City (near LRT Buendia)
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting, especially in occupational health or pre-employment medical examinations, is highly valued.
• Experience in customer service or patient support roles preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and basic healthcare principles.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
