SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive L2/L3 Systems & Cloud Support Engineer to join our Managed Services team. This role combines advanced infrastructure support, cloud administration, and application support within an MSP environment.The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting capabilities, a solid foundation in enterprise systems, and experience supporting both infrastructure and business-critical applications.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Cloud & Microsoft 365 Administration
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Manage user identities, licensing, and security policies
- Troubleshoot cloud-related issues and service disruptions
- Identity & Access Management
- Manage and maintain Active Directory and Azure AD environments
- Handle user provisioning, group policies, and access controls
- Implement identity governance and security best practices
- Virtualization & Infrastructure
- Administer and support virtual environments (VMware and Hyper-V)
- Provision, maintain, and optimize virtual machines and host systems
- Perform capacity planning and performance tuning
- Windows Server Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments
- Manage core services (DNS, DHCP, File Services, Group Policy)
- Ensure system stability, patching, and compliance
- Automation, Scripting & DevOps
- Develop and maintain scripts (PowerShell preferred) for automation
- Support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code initiatives
- Improve operational efficiency through automation
- Monitoring, Backup & Recovery
- Monitor systems, applications, and infrastructure using enterprise tools
- Manage backup solutions and ensure data integrity
- Perform restoration and recovery operations when needed
- Disaster Recovery & DR Drills
- Participate in and execute disaster recovery drills
- Maintain and improve DR documentation and procedures
- Ensure business continuity readiness
- Endpoint Management
- Manage Windows endpoints using modern management tools (e.g., Intune, SCCM)
- Enforce policies, patching, and endpoint security compliance
- Troubleshoot endpoint-related issues
- Networking
- Support basic to intermediate networking (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls)
- Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues
- Collaborate with network teams on escalations
- IT Support Operations (L2/L3 / NOC)
- Provide advanced technical support and escalation handling
- Act as L2/L3 support for incidents, service requests, and problem management
- Participating in 24/7 NOC operations as required
- Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures
- Application & Infrastructure Support
- Support business applications alongside infrastructure systems
- Collaborate with application teams to resolve system dependencies
- Ensure high availability and performance of integrated environments
- 3–7+ years of experience in systems administration or MSP environments
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365 and Windows Server
- Hands-on experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V
- Proficiency in PowerShell or other scripting languages
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals
- Experience with monitoring and backup tools
- Nice to have / Preferred Skills
- Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices
- Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards
- Certifications (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, ITIL) are a plus
