Building Maintenance Engineer

What you'll be doing:

• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the building's mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
• Coordinate and supervise the work of maintenance technicians and external contractors
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to maximize the lifespan of building assets
• Monitor building systems and equipment performance, and identify and resolve any issues promptly
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
• Liaise with tenants and respond to their maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and expenditure
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of building operations and sustainability practices

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Building Maintenance Engineer or same role
• Thorough knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety equipment
• Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders
• Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems
• Proven track record of leading and motivating a team of maintenance technicians
• Working knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
• Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, facilities management or a related discipline
