Inspections & Troubleshooting: Regularly inspect buildings, systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical), and equipment to identify issues and perform preventative maintenance.
Repairs: Execute minor repairs, such as fixing drywall, doors, fixtures, or plumbing; also handle basic electrical work and carpentry.Preventative Maintenance: Implement schedules for routine upkeep to prevent major breakdowns.
Groundskeeping: Assist with landscaping, trash removal, snow/ice clearing, and setting up outdoor amenities.
Painting & Drywall: Perform painting, patching, and drywall installation/repair.
Logistics & Documentation: Maintain detailed maintenance logs, track inventory, order supplies, and write reports.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company safety regulations and local building codes.
Vendor Coordination: Oversee external contractors for specialized repairs.
Qualifications/Requirements
Skills & QualificationsProficiency with hand tools, power tools, and potentially specialized equipment.
Ability to diagnose mechanical/electrical issues.
Strong work ethic, physical stamina (lifting, climbing, bending).
Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
Valid Driver's License (often required).
Typical EnvironmentWorks in various settings (office buildings, schools, healthcare, residential).
May work indoors or outdoors in various weather conditions.
Can involve physical demands like climbing ladders or lifting heavy items (e.g., 50 lbs).
