Senior Accountant

Lead and develop the accounting team, ensuring strong performance, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Minimum of 1-2 years of team leadership experience is required
- Supervisory experience demonstrating the ability to manage and guide team members is required
- Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
- Ensure compliance with taxation, regulatory, and statutory requirements
- Files quarterly and annual corporate tax return
- CPA certification is preferred but not required for this position
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership teams on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
- Review and analyze financial data, identifying trends, risks, and actionable insights
- Maintain integrity of the general ledger and accounting records
- Support cash flow monitoring, budgeting, and other ad hoc finance requirements when needed
- Supervise, coach, and support accounting staff, including performance monitoring and day-to-day guidance
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including operations and project management, for financial alignment
- Support audit processes, compliance requirements, and reporting deliverables
- Drive initiatives that improve efficiency, reporting accuracy, and financial processes
- Minimum of 5-6 years of accounting experience is required for this Senior Accountant position
- Corporate accounting experience is required for this senior position
- Bachelor's degree is the minimum educational qualification required for this role
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required
- Mining industry experience is preferred but not required for this role
